The most excited revolution in mobile industry is a “Bendable SmartPhone” which is only possible with a “Bendable Battery”. The very first high-performance aluminum-ion battery that’s long-lasting, fast-charging and inexpensive have been invented by scientists at Stanford University. Researchers say this new technology offers an alternate to many commercial batteries being widely used today, its safe and economical too.
A rechargeable aluminium-ion battery’s prototype can charge your smartphone in 60 seconds, plus it’s highly durable, environment friendly, and cheaper than anything available in the market. And it won’t spontaneously catch fire like certain lithium-ion batteries. (watch what happens to lithium-ion batteries)

The flexible, non-flammable device produces 2 volts of electricity. The research team was able to generate 5 volts – enough to power a smartphone – using two aluminum batteries and a converter.

“We have developed a rechargeable aluminium battery that may replace existing storage devices, such as alkaline batteries, which are bad for the environment, and lithium-ion batteries, which occasionally burst into flames,” said one of the team, chemist Hongjie Dai from Stanford University, in a press release. “Our new battery won’t catch fire, even if you drill through it.”
